Cuttack, also known as Silver city of Orissa for its silver filigree, established a branch about 38 years back as Orissa branch of Chartered Accountants of EIRC. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has made its sojourn with a few members through the years to meet its goal of education and profession. Subsequently the branch was shifted to Bhubaneswar in the year 1982 as it had maximum members in comparison to Cuttack. With continuous efforts of several years by many of the senior members, the Cuttack Branch was restarted in the year 1990 by Mr. Dalal as President in presence of all Central council members. This was an unique occasion when a branch is formed in presence of full central council members.

At present the Branch has strength of over 350 members with many large partnership firms. The branch has added many feathers to its cap.

It has successfully organized National Conference in year 2005, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 25th Regional Conference in January 2001 and host National CA Convention for Students in 2013,2015 & National CA Conclave for 2014. It has been awarded the Best Branch Award many times in the Eastern India Region.The CA Examination venture at CUTTACK is the oldest one in Orissa which has been functioning for last 43 years.

However, it was always a dream for all the members of Cuttack to have our own Branch premises. Our Past President, Sri R. Bhupaty, laid the foundation stone on 25.01.04 for construction of the branch building at CDA, Cuttack.

After many years of hard work by several members and other patrons and the unstinting support from ICAI and EIRC, this dream was fulfilled with the inauguration of the Branch Building at CDA on 22nd February, 2009, by the then President of our Institute, CA. Uttam Prakash Agarwal. In the little time since then, it has grown into a well-equipped and furnished office with modern facilities. It regularly conducts courses for students, and serves as a meeting ground for our members in Cuttack. It goes a long way in meeting the requirements of members and students of Cuttack and nearby areas.

Not content in resting on its laurels, the Branch undertook to complete the Information Technology Training Centre and was able to achieve its target by getting the IT Training Centre and Library completed and functional. Branch has IT Training Centre has a capacity of 20 Students for each batch.

Cuttack Branch of EIRC of ICAI has always endeavoured to serve the members and students by organizing the professional program for members and by providing various facilities to students like ICITSS, AICITSS, conducting sports meet, celebration of festivals and organizing of seminars and conferences
